The Creative Cocoon™ Course

A space for mothers to grieve, heal, and reemerge

It is an 8-week online course for mothers who have experienced the death of a child to grieve, heal, and reemerge.

We will meet in an opensupportive, and confidential space that allows your grief to be witnessed and transformed.

To support you in moving forward, we will explore empowering tools. 

These tools include grief yoga, meditation, gong healing, creative writing, multi-media art, flower essences and essential oil therapies, and life, health, and grief coaching.

Hi, I'm Jen

I am devoted to helping you have a safe and supportive space to work with your grief. Grieving doesn’t have to take a lot of time, but it does require our focused attention.

I believe you are the hero of your own story. This is a space for you to tell that story to yourself and the members of this beautiful group.

My intention is for you to slowly accept that you are not your grief. My dream is that you will choose to embrace living again with your whole heart.

I know that your heart is broken. I know that your life will never be the same. Together we can explore how your broken open heart can help you build a life with beauty, meaning and joy.

I’ve been where you are. After my son Oliver died from pediatric Osteosarcoma at age 16, I thought my life was over. I did not think I could go on.


Slowly, I began healing my grief and embraced living again.

The strategies and tools that I leaned on to navigate my grief and reemerge into a new life are in this course. I’ve included them for you because they worked for me and are known to be supportive in journeys with grief.

I have been a life and health coach for 15 years. I also hold three yoga certifications in yoga, including Grief Yoga. I am a certified Grief Educator with David Kessler. I train and certify people to play the gong for healing. I am a certified Wild Writing Teacher and a Creatively Fit Coaching Mentor. I hold a BFA in painting and am a lifelong artist.

In this course we will explore:

Identifying and accepting what you are feeling with unconditional love and without judgment
Working with your feelings through writing and art
Using grief yoga to release guilt, shame, fear, anger, confusion, and regret
Writing and art to tell your own hero’s journey
Building simple self-care routines to help you to feel grounded and stable
Meditation and the healing gong to calm your nervous system
Essential oils, aromatherapy, and flower essences to support your healing journey

The Course begins 
Tuesday, April 25 from 7-9:30 Eastern 
OR
Wednesday April 26, from 10-12:30 Eastern.
 

We will meet on zoom live weekly for eight weeks.

 
We will also meet every Thursday from 12-3pm Eastern for open studio hours.

All calls will be recorded, and a replay will be available.

The Creative Cocoon™ Course contains an online curriculum and an online community.

An optional book list and supply list will be provided.
